Julian Head Bowl — Handmade Porcelain Salt Cellar Glazed with a glossy food-safe finish inside and a hand-flared, pinched rim, each bowl blends artistry with everyday function. Original design, made entirely in-house. Every Julian Head Bowl begins as my original hand-sculpted design. I make the plaster mold using traditional techniques, then slip cast, hand-glaze, and hand-paint each piece in my Kingston, NY studio. At 3" across, the Julian Head Bowl is perfectly sized for a pinch of flaky salt, a little pile of pepper, a few capers alongside a cheese board, or any small, essential thing that needs a home on the table. The hand-flared, pinched rim and glossy food-safe interior make it as practical for everyday use as it is for entertaining. The Head Bowl is designed to pair with the Julian Tail Bowl to "complete the sardine." It's also part of the broader Julian Ware ceramic collection (the Julian trays and the Julian Vase).
